Welcome to People of the Books.
Our book ordering system will support reading books to inspire us to think about our values, and also, buying our books in a way that supports our local community and sustainable economies. Many people grapple with the balance between the convenience of shopping online, and the community-building that takes place when we support local, small bookstore owners in our area. This reading club, by working together with the Independent Bookseller Association’s Booksense program, will make it possible to order online while supporting local stores. When you enter the ordering system, you will be prompted to enter your zip code, so you can be matched with an area store.
